I called up Andy and we spoke about whats best for my setup. What he advised worked out great. It was a PITA getting the tranny back in, but well worth it.

The only thing Im a little confused about, and this might be comin with every person that has only had an OEM clutch. The pedal pressure feels lighter than my stock clutch did. I bled the lines for like a half an hour thinking there was air in the lines.

With the funny pedal feeling aside, the clutch engages and feels awesome.

For the millionth time (no offense but it had to be said): all new clutches feel like kicking a feather. Within about 1000 miles, it'll tighten back up. Give it time.

why do they do that?

Thanx for the comment Dino, I wasnt aware of that. Check this email out that Andy from SB sent me when I asked him that question. Maybe you can help me understand a little better.

It says:

We try to make the pedal feel as close to stock as we can for the HD series, but it should be on the heavy side. It can feel about 25% heavier if it is the SS series.

As the Dino man said

the petal pressure increase as it wears. clutches are easier when they are new and gradually get stiffer. many times a new clutch will push easier than an used one. it's hard to compare unless the clutch that is being replaced is a new one.

DJ420a, which series clutch did you get? I don't see anything about HD or SS series on their website. I'm looking for a good replacement for a stock clutch on a mildy modified car.

Heres the link. I got the OFE. Andy told me this clutch will easily hold up too roughly 350hp's. Its a great clutch, fell nice, hmmmmmmmmmmmm, nice.

LOL. Sorry. Had to jump on the typo police bandwagon. I will be looking into SBC when the time comes for a new clutch on Daisy. Keep hearing nothing but good things about them.

SBC? by this do you mean small block chevy? if so they work on our cars? if so i didn't know that
