called satan a little bit ago to price manual tranny fluid, he says all i need (and all they use) is 80w90 gear oil. is this safe or is he full of shit??

Full of shit. Only use the fluid made for the NVT-350 or new ATF blend.

Actually, I was told the same thing... They only have 20 gallon drums of the tranny fluid and they don't sell it any more...

Yuo can try and find the Texaco MTX Fluid AF... I couldn't so I opted for the Mobil Full Synth 75W90... It's in the latest book at Discount Auto, I'll let you know if I burn out my tranny :)

use the dealership brand. its expensive.. but oh well, so is mod'in your car.
