Had master/slave cylinder replaced 2 months ago.
A little more than a month passes and the clutch won't engage.
A fitting wasn't tightened and lost a lot of clutch fluid, had to refill the resevior up twice before would get into gear.
Had them tighten the fitting.
Never bleed the line (shouldn't they have?).

Since that happened, I have to adjust my pedal ~ once a week.
The point where the clutch is engaged gets higher on the pedal, so I have to untighten the bolt and it's fine.
clutch fluid in resevior stays the same.
Car never slips gears.
Take it in AGAIN and they take a quick look and say that i need to replace my clutch soon.

Does this sound right? Could my clutch be going bad?

If they didn't bleed the line, then you should probably start taking it elsewhere.

Bleed it yourself. it may start feeling right again.

Yup. What Dino said. If they didn't bleed your clutch lines they are morons. Bleed the clutch yourself. Only need 2 people for it.

ok, i will bleed the clutch, cross my fingers and hope it's fine after that. Now I just need to find some1 with at least the intellegence of a chimp to pump the clutch petal. That's going to hard to find.... :)


and what's with hijacked (mod) thread? I can't goto a thread w/out seeing that ;). Could at least say "Yeah I agree, and get boost!" or something.

Yes, I know this is old. Just wanted to let anyone who cared or searched and came up with this thread know what the result was. (I always search threads, see a bunch of good responses and no end solution)

Anywho, Star Turbo Talon and I bleed the line. Tons of air in it. Found that the master cyclindar is leeking at the boot. Took it back to those guys again and told them the master cylinder is leeking and needs to be replaced. Surprisingly they look at it quick and agree to do it tomorrow. My clutch has been fine for ~ a month now and I belive is fixed.
