I'm gonna try to do my clutch while I've got the block out.
I guess I'm a MODULAR since I have a 97 (purchased Sept 96).
Should I change out? Or stick with it?
I know to stay away from the dreaded CFDF, but other than that, suggestions (and prices)?

Go non-modular....then you can run the clutchmasters flywheel if you buy the non-modular kit.....i just ordered the clutch masters stage 2 clutch and non-modular kit with the clutch masters flywheel

Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better

Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

im another for non-mod... it will make it easier in the future as well, in addition to ^^

Would any of you get a clutch off ebay? I'm not very serious about something super macho at this time, so cost is a bit of an issue. I'm getting MotoFool's bottom end kit and won't be running much more than the 10.5:1 w/ a P&P TB and the UDP for a while. More than likely it'll be a year or so before I go turbo. I really would like to get as much clutch info as I can.
I like the non-mod idea, though and might just go that way regardless. Thanks.

non mod is a good way to go, especially if you are gunna have to be replacing the clutch in the future;-) and if you do, you can go w/a lightened flywheel as well...

not to say they dont work cause they do their job 100% but just a FYI

i sell clutchmasters, centerforce, sachs anything u want, but my custom clutches are just a step above of everyone else that ive played with,

no other company at this point has a upgraded pressure plate like ive got built, we do our clutches custom to each user,

witha only a hicomp bottom end youd be fine running stock or a stage 1 clutch , the pt cruisar clutch would be a nice litle upgrade for 160$ its modular but i has an upgraded pressure plate...

Is this a direct bolt in replacement? I will probably be putting a clutch in my car this weekend, and if that's the case, I may go with this one instead.
