3962, should my clutch fluid be low and look like runny graphite? Posted by tim97rs, Jan-31-05 11:57 AM
that of course was a rhetorical question.
cant find a leak anywhere, but i know that aint what normal clutch fluid looks like. any ideas what would cause it to be that way? i stuck my finger in the bottom of the well and its got a lot of black sediment in it...
maybe thats why my car wont shift into gear at times, huh?

sounds like the stock (rubber) clutch line is degrading. Happened to me also. It might be a good idea to go ahead and replace it before you can't shift at all. I recommend the Stainless Steel clutch line from RRE.
edit: damnit I just went over 6666 posts. I wanted to keep that forever.
