3938, Engine rebuild now no clutch pressure Posted by Onnoffplayer, Jan-23-05 07:02 AM
I just finished my engine rebuild which didn't give me a whole lot of problems. My car is a 97 eclipse RS. I had taken off the slave cylinder and the line running to it during the rebuild. I put them back on now, added fluid, and i still have absolutely no pressure. The only thing that i can think of that would make this happen is maybe that bolt with the little eyelet hole that hooks the line onto the slave cylinder might not be lined up perfectly because you can't really tell which way the holes facing in there. Now i don't think its the MC because it worked perfectly before and i have no fluid leakage anywhere. The fluid i added is still at the same line that it settled at yesterday (after flowing through the line). If anyone has any ideas, I'd be more than happy to try anything.

Did you botrher to bleed the line? If there is air in it, there is no way for the air to get out if you just pour fluid into the reservour.

Sorry about that guys, it just clicked in my head earlier after i had already posted it. I didn't bleed the air outta the lines (completely forgot). Exactly what was replied to me was in fact the culprit. Thanx.
