first off....NO ITS NOT A BELT SQUEAKING. i can control the squeak by putting a little pressure on the clutch pedal.

when driving normally there is a slight whistle but as i push in the clutch pedal, the whistle gets faster and higher pitched until i have the clutch far enough in that is isnt engaging but the whistle is gone. as the rpm's come down, the whistle gets lower pitched and slower. my only thought is that my flwheel is somehow messing up. occasionally after driving pretty hard, i cant get it in gear unless i cram it in, but after second or third, everything is fine again except for the whistle. anyone have any ideas as to why its doing this?

sounds like a bearing is going bad. if thats true, replace it asap before it eats the area around it.

where is would this bearing be? there are several to choose from and im not very confident in my skills of putting the motor/drivetrain back together after looking for 1 bad bearing. ya i can take it apart no problem, but the reassembly would be quite a bit harder. =]
