3844, i think my clutch is finally done.... Posted by talonguy2005, Jan-04-05 04:02 AM
well, i started my car this morning, and let it warm up for a little bit. Then I went to go put it into reverse to back out, and it would not go into gear. It wouldn't go into any gear!!! Then i finally got it to go into reverse, but it grinded a little bit, but i didn't even let the clutch out and it was already moving by itself, wtf!?! the clutch is engaging before i even let the pedal out at all what is going on here?!

Check the clutch fluid reserviour, check the slave cylinder for leaks, check the master cylinder for leaks.

the clutch fluid resivor was completely empty :( i added some fluid in, but it still isn't fixed at all. Now i have almost no pedal pressure. Also i cannot find out where it is leaking from.

I'd just buy a new one, personally. I think I paid a bit more for the last one i bought.. $90-100 if i remember right.
The master cylinder is pretty easy to replace, too. Just in a tight spot...
You got off easy :-)

i ordered one from autozone for $102 shipped, because no one carries them!!! not even the dealership. hopefully that is all that needs replaced :( there wasn't one drip under my car this morning, so im guessing it is the master cylinder
