Ok my clutch is slipping ... again ..it did it awhile back then it stopped . Now its doing it again . What would cause it to do this ? Why would it the slipping get worse as I go higher through the gears. What clutch has everyone found works the best ?

Could this also be a case of bad tranny fluid ? what tranny fluid should i use? And for some odd reason I CAN NOT FIND out how to check my tranny fluid.. I dont see a dipstick or anything . Could someone tell me where it is ?

Clutch could be wore out, or oil could be getting on it, either from the transmission input shaft seal, or the motor's rear main seal. Your clutch hydrolics could be hanging up too, but that is less likely, but check your clutch master cylinder fulid level. It slips worse in a higher gear, because there is more torque needed to move the car in a higher gear ratio..There is no dipstick to check fluid level, but you have to get at the fill plug. Its a round, black rubber plug, on the driver side of the transmission. It will have a flat tab on it that you pull on to take it out. Once you get it out, stick your finger in the hole there, and the fluid should be level with the bottom of the fill hole. Its usually easiest to get at by jacking up the driver side, taking off the wheel, and getting under the car right there..Its kind of hidden, so look closely.

so i should be able to feel the fluid ? or i will be able to see it being level ? I dont quite get how you measure the fluid level .

make sure are your motor mounts/tranny brackets are not broken. my friend had a tranny mount work its way out on his 3000GT and when the motor torqued the clutch would slip because there was seperation between the motor and the tranny...not good.
