Whatever you do...

Don't put in a Phantom Grip a NewSkoolRacing SID, or any other type of box like thing that supposedly gives you more traction by using 4 puny springs to push on the spider gears.

They are fake. They do nothing for traction. They put metal shavings into your transmission. Sometimes they fall apart and destroy transmissions.

For differential modifications, it's the Diff. Retrofit, a Quaife, or nothing at all.

That doesn't make it a good design. By its natuire it is putting huge loads of undue stress and wear on the unit. It is crap and nothing you can say will change the fact that it is crap.

lol well not going to buy a PG.....as for your gears....if you mean the shafts...per Dino (another post) tap the shafts out with a socket or soft brass dowel from the bearing side. The book staes they must be pressed out which is not altogether true. I would take em out and put them in your ombest china with a quart of oil and rotate them (the gears) untill you are convinced there are no shaving in them. I dont know if carb/brake cleaner would e good on the synchro's....Dino?

A press makes it much easier. Otherwisde, it's not so much a 'tap", but a flat out hammer beating to get them out. However, it can be done, given enough time and a big enough hammer. I've done it.

No solvents on the paper syncros. That would be bad.
