Just asking because my transmission F'd up for the second time in a month and am just curious about others problems. I am not sure what my problem is this time but the first time it was the bearing for 4th gear, the plastic turned to mud in the tranny fluid...

and could someone tell me the story behind why centerforce clutches suck so much, that is what I have and didn't know they had a bad rep. till after I had it for a few months. TIA

i had 5th gear pop out and syncro in 2nd is pretty bad other that it hasn't given me any other problems

5th gear pop-out and roll bracket problems multiple times, which has led to bad speedo sensors. It just happened again last night. Anyone know why when the rear roll bracket breaks the speedo sensor stops working? It is only about a month old, and shows no physical damage.

3rd and 5th popping out.
Grinding when in Neutral until I depress the clutch pedal, grinds in 1st until I shift to 2nd, throw out bearing looks great though.
Opened case there was only about 1/2 cup fluid in there, nothing looked burnt, however.
Small pieces of metal, not very many, and pieces of gasket inside case.

:( that's enough isn't it.

well this time the plastic bearing for first gear melted to the shaft... WTFOMFGTHISTRANNYISSHIT

this is a very good tranny.


some minor things may go wrong with it. but just be glad you dont have a mitsu tranny. paper syncro's are stupid and plastic shit isnt smart. but its not hard to rebuild these things.

well it sure is expensive to rebuild them... but i guess if its gone a break every oilchange i guess i'll have to learn how to do it
