I was digging behind my console trying to fix my ailing SuperAFR when I noticed that when I touched the shifter, there was some undue "play"... Look down at this metal frame and its wobbling along with it... Look even lower and between the "shifter frame" and the floorpan... there are flexible rubber washers on each of the 4 bolts!! Lame!!!

Can I just take these out? If I dont get an answer in like 5 minutes I'm just going to go do it anyway... So yeah... :eek

I figure i'll get a more solid/notchy feel...

ya dude
go to mach V and get the symbroski shift kit!!

it has machined metal inserts that go in that frame where the bushings are.

trust me you will LOVE it!!

Shit... there are bushings there? I didn't know. The Symboerski kit that I got didn't do a good job of bushing my teeth, so I didn't know what to do with them. Thanks! :thumbsup

Personally, I went with the Energy Suspension bushings (while installing my B&M shifter at 50% reduction) and...damn. Much, MUCH better. I've heard the Symborski kit can be a bit clunky, and it's more than the urethane bushings, so your call.
