2467, reverse gear problems

Ok...I just replaced the master and slave cylinder and bled the clutch line. Now my tranny will only go into reverse like 10% of the time and when it doesn't go into reverse, it just pops back into neutral. It was doing this before I replaced the cylinders, that is what I thought it was. All my other gears are fine...I need some friggin' advice before I start to take an axe to my car! Please help!!!!!!

Hrm.. Mine does this, but it does it about 40% of the time. And my master/slave cyls are SHOT. Just push it in and out until you here it 'clunk'. If your other gears are fine, then maybe its a problem with your shifting linkage.

Reverse is a non-synchronized, straight cut dog gear. If it pops out, it's because you didn't have fully engaged. Reverse will make a nice, solid "CLACK" when it engages. If it doesn't go in, ease up on the clutch a little bit, which will move the input shaft and realighn the dog teeth.

You can also put it in first, then put it in reverse. Putting it in first lines everything up, then it should just go into reverse fine.
