2419, SOHC tranny questions

I found a low mileage SOHC tranny for dirt cheap at a local junkyard. I know you have to use the 2GNT bellhousing, but what I was wondering is this. Is the bellhousing bolted to the case, or is the front half of the case and bellhousing all one piece. If it is one piece, I'll have to use my bellhousing/front case which I am pretty sure has a bad input shaft bearing. How difficult is it to change this bearing? Mechanical ability isn't an issue, I do all of my own work anyways. I'm just wondering if I will need to have it pressed out or if I can do it in my garage. Also, is there just one bearing there that needs replaced, or several?

I got a 355 trans recently too....i paid 300 for mine and i pulled it, what did you pay? As for swapping the bellhousing yes the bellhousing is the entire half of the trans case. the bearign is pressed in but i am not sure if you can hammer it out with a large socket or not. I pulled the 355 bellhousing off to look inside and the sucker does not like comming off its dowel pins. good luck with your input bearing.....any info how the input bearing comes out DINO?
