What psi is this supposed to be good to? anyone have any experience with it? i dont give a crap about pedal pressure or clutch chatter, i just want it to be able to hold the HP. thanks for any info.

Plenty. Unless you're spraying, you'd be very hard put to make enough power to drive through it. Over 500HP.

Would the Stage 4 stand up to 17psi daily? I may just tell him to go Stage 5 anyways, might as well have it too strong as not strong enough. i know a CM Stage 3 doesnt hold up too well to this.

Why do you say that? The torque rating for stage 3 and stage 4 are the same, 435 ft. lbs. The main difference is that the stage 3 uses a sprung hub and the stage 4 uses a solid one. Trust me, the Spec stage 3 will shrug at 17 psi even on a daily basis. But remember, it doesn't matter what your boost pressure or hp rating is, torque is what we're looking at here.

I use a spec stage 3 on 17 psi daily and 24 psi track. I have dyno'd 278 whp and 286 tq at 16 psi. It won't slip.

We have a CM Stage 3 in a T3/T4 equipped car, at 17psi it will slip pretty badly sometimes. Clutch was broken in properly an has about 7k miles on it.

im debating between getting the stage 3 and going for the stage 5. stage 3 would probably be easier to drive on and better for breaking in the enigne (meaing just easier) but if the stage 5 is not too bad i probably ought to get it. considering what im aiming for. although i thought i may get the stage 3 for now and wait till i get to the higher hp level (hoepfully mid to end of summer) then get the 5 but it just seems like it would be a waste to get the 3 now, then 5 later...i dont know
