2071, Do the 1st Gen Neon Tranny's Bolt up to us

Just wondering cuz in the junk yard thier so much cheaper then our trannies but thier almost the same thing in the DOHC except some have a better Fifth gear. Since we have the same block i would think they bolt up just like our tranny's and just swap out my drive shafts. Need to know asap before i buy a neon tranny that doesnt fit.

It may bolt up perfectly, but since we use the hydraulic setup, you need to mate that tranny up with the 2gnt bellhousing. Then it's exactly like ours.

...and the axles are the same too, so noneed to swap that.

Other then the hydraulic clutch compared to a cable clutch (i believe) there is no difference in the trannies. I was able to swap the 3spd auto in for my 4spd auto
