Posted by Scarface, Oct-01-03 12:42 PM Bro, I just replaced my clutch, but not with a spec one...I did it in my driveway, took a weekend, with lots of cursing and lots of beer:) Just make sure you have all of the right tools lined up and some help when dropping the tranny and be prepared to struggle putting that bitch back up with a trans jack:) Anyway, I think you could probably do it no prblem in a garage or driveway, save your money and do it yourself, besides you'll learn something new:thumbsup Good luck man. | |

1492, RE: spec clutch & garage... Posted by eclipticrider, Oct-01-03 03:08 PM i had my bro-inlaw help me (he works at a junk yard and parts cars all day so he has some experience) it took us 6 hours in my dirt driveway :( too many bugs was the worst part IMO... it was pretty straight foward | |

Posted by ner947, Oct-02-03 08:36 AM this afternoon i will be taking a quick trip home from college to work some more on the spec stage 3/fidanza installation. my goal tonight is to get the transmission out of the car, bolt up my non-modular clutch and flywheel, open up the transmission and install the new differental. i will leave getting everything back together for this weekend when i have more time. | |
