I'm looking at getting a replacement clutch, since mine is starting to act up and I don't wanna be caught without a clutch. I'm looking at two options:

1. MotoFool's non-modular 2.5 setup, which would hold my current stock power and the power my future plans are going to produce

-or-

2. A cheap OEM-ish clutch, just for the meantime.

At the moment, I'm looking at the latter (unless MotoFool reads this and is willing to help a broke-ass college student who is completely supporting himself without any help ;) ), and came across this:

Anyone heard of this brand? I'm curious as to whether this clutch is decent or just a waste of materials...

Luk and Sachs are OEM clutches for our cars. Actually, companies like Clutchmasters, and Spec, use Luk or Sachs pressure plates that are worked over for higher clamp load for their performance clutches. I'm not sure on the details of that clutch kit, but i would assume its a fully stock replacement.

I bought a used LuK clutch and I installed it when I did a rebuild. The dude said the clutch was practically brand new because they drove the car and it got fucked up anyway it looked brand new and I installed it. The clutch pressure plate is LIGHT, lighter than stock which I don't like and the release point is pretty high, but it might be because I put that SS clutch line in not sure.

I think I broke in the clutch properly I didn't do any craziness until 1000 miles but now it slips after heavy boosting. Mostly drag races or stuff that requires it to grab fast. Not cool, my stock clutch never had this proble.

But another thing I might think why its slipping is the NSR LSD I installed, it making the tires grip so freakin much that the clutch is taking a lot of stress.

So I don't really know haha it appears to be a decent clutch, so if you want an OEM go with the sachs or luk I don't think there's much of a difference.
