556, Clutch problem maybe? and where to find a good diagnostic tool...
Posted by My9t5Talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
O.k., so a few weeks ago, my car died...tried to start it, just a grinding noise...changed plugs, wires (getting a spark), starter (was starting to stick a bit), coil, and battery...nothing worked...still grinding...

...could it be clutch related, 'cuz it wasn't grabbing as well as it should about a week ago...could it be cracked (clutch, pressure plate, or flywheel)?...would this create this major headache that my car is giving me right now...???

also where can I get a diagnostic tool...I have no PDA and am kinda strapped for cash right now...thanx!

*EDIT* Here is what I found on Sears' web site (typing in OBD in the search)...
1. Actron Scan Tool, OBD II #00947843000 $450
2. Kal Equip OBD II Full Feature Scan Tool #00946821000 $350
3. Actron OBD II Diagnostic Tester for 1996-Present Vehicles #00930090000 $170
4. OTC Wireless Remote Printer for OBD II Diagnostic Tester. #00930053000 $400
5. OTC OBD II Scan Tool, MindReader with Ignition System Quick Test Kit #00930050000 $650
