OK fluidyne does not make a radiator for cars with an auto trans, so my question is can i use an air cooled trans cooler like summit sells in place of the one that runs through the radiator?

yes but make sure its the correct size, and def. make sure it gets PLENTY of air flow to it.
I would get a tranny temp guage If I were you and measure the before and after to verify that the cooler is doing its job and keeping temps near stock like or under

the extra tranny cooler, make sure its the correct size and gets plenty of air flow.
