4732, Leaking trans pan... HELP!
Posted by iamnotwhoiam, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Need help trying to stop the fluid pan from leaking. I have pulled it and fixed 2 stripped bolt holes and properly torqued all the bolts. The pan does not appear to have been tweaked any. I even ran the car for almost a year after pulling the pan to change the filter and fluid and it never seemed to leak any till a week or so ago when I found that I was running low on fluid and found that it had been leaking bad.

I am going to try and use RTV gasket maker tomorrow for a last try at getting it to stop leaking, but any other suggestions to help save my sanity.

I do plan on trying to do the MT swap, but not sure when that is going to happen as I still need some big items.

ok.... so I fixed it.

It wasn't the pan or gasket.

It was one of the stupid nipples that feed the external cooler lines.

That was a fun 2 weeks.

At least I got my header and v2 cai installed and the v2 sounds awesome!
