4621, Need Atx Help
Posted by dalesmitsu, Feb-05-10 01:10 AM
I recently bought a 1998 rs atx a604. When its drive from either from a stop or idle at light, it feels like its in nuetral few seconds it kicks up into gear. I did a fluid check today its low, would this be the culprit. I'm changing the filiter and fluid tommorrow.

Would having worn out rollstoppers or atx mounts, engine mounts cause this. Car idles at 1,000 rpm dead on.

one other thing, overdrive switch on cluster doesn't light up when I engaged, this would last question about my a604.

Yes, I know but I'm waiting to hear back the rallymfg. who make those locking lug nuts. The previous owner of my 98 had them on the stock 14 wheels, Lmao. Well, the owner lost the key to the lugs, damn. I find it funny, why would someone put these failed locking nuts on them, they're known to stripped.

Thanks for the response, Ronin. This is what I thought the problem was before I even looked at it, and would be an easy fix.

I dig some digging last night during NE. Ohio poop storm. There's a foot or more on 1998rs now an was plowed in by the city plow. I live on a street where the municiple court/local P.d is located and cops fly pass by my house all the time.

Here's what I found in my search.

When I do my atx filter change, this recall wil be done, as with the balljoint recall too.

If it problem still occurs after the atx flush. Hopefully the recall solve it.
