the car works perfectly fine with o/d off, but whe u out it in od and drive it cant shift into 4th gear, it is saying invalid gear ratio. Now the od part is this is a completly stock tranny. Also it will enage sometimes but then refuses to to shift outta 4th. If anyone has any input feel free to speak. I have been to 3 shops with no anwsers even Satan cant figure it out and is recomending a rebuild.

probably does need a rebuild.. something is broke internally

You can try swapping out the solenoid pack but I doubt that will solve your problems..

I thought the o/d off would make the tach go red line and would burn up the trans. :scratch I have atx and I drive to and from work around town etc. With O/D ON

This must one topic that some get confused about. Resaon why its better to do the Mtx swap in the atx cars.

OD off = just fine up to 40mph and you get a faster 1-2 shift.

anytime your are over 40 mph you should have the od ON..
