Be very careful with this "hard shift" you're looking for. That is a lot of strain on critical parts in your transmission. I've spoken with mechanics and transmission specialists and they all advised against installing a shift kit because of that harder snappier shift, without upgrading those crital parts. Such as your differential and your clutch packs. Start blowing those things and you've got problems.
I may be narrow-minded but I'd say dont use anything other than MOPAR ATF+3 or ATF+4. Not dexron or mercon, definitely not.
Hope this helps you somehow, least in being careful with wanting harder shifts. MIght start breaking shit!

DO NOT USE TRICK SHIFT, USE ONLY ATF+3 or if 1999 or up use ATF+4
and joe you info is incorrect, a quicker firmer shift (harder as you call it) is BETTER for your transmission, there is much less heat generated by a quick shift as the tranny is not slipping to keep the shift longer.
Car manufacturers make the shift slower for the average driver who wants a smooth shift, but its much worse on a tranny.
The faster you/tranny can shift into each gear the better for the tranny.

The A604 is very very picky on its fluids. Use only ATF +4 ( or ATF +3 if you can find it. ) Any other fluid will damage the tranny. The truth about the fluid from chrysler is that you can use ATF +4 on any vehicle that used or is using ATF + , ATF +2, or ATF +3. However if you have a vehicle that uses ATF +4 you dont want to add ATF +3. But as said above dont use anything other than that listed above or youll be rebuilding the tranny much sooner than youd like.

still a snappier shift will transfer that "snap" energy down the line of energy. ending at the differential. Doesnt matter how much heat isnt generated, even though heat is the #1 killer. Like an AWD - start upgrading start breaking shit. A "snap" will make that engery transer all the way to the axles like i said earlier. I know it wont hurt the tranny all that much but still a snappier shift....

I'm one of the crazy fools trying my luck with trick shift synthetic. DON'T TRY THIS YOURSELF! let me be the idiot broken down on the side of the road.so far I have gone 8 months with it in the transmission with no bad side affects. I will let everyone know when I burn out my trans:P

haha the dumbasses at this salvage yard who sent me a "22k mile transmission" told me to put in synthetic and it would run "ok" ass holes. Not gunna put that crap in my transmission! Rather run water thru it:D

~~ guys...i dont care about brakeing shit...u dont know how much shit i have broke
this might be besides the point...but...i had a mustang that ran 6.50 with a 125 shot and 5.90s with a 250 shot(thats 1/8 mile) think about how many parts i broke

If you dont care about breakin shit go ahead. But a comparison to a Mustang transmission to a chrysler transmission is like comparing the sun to the moon man;). The transmission inside our cars wasnt designed specifically for our cars. Not like they have performance in mind. My moms minivan has the same transmission for Christ sake.
But if you dont care about money go ahead and start pushing that tranny man!:)
