4065, Are there any worning signs before the diiferential pins go?

Well after reading some posts in this section I found out that our transmission is the transmission of flying differential pins. What is this problem, why does it occur, is it limited by manufacturing date, what are the warning signs?

I don't know, all I know is I had my car in a shop for a rebuilt tranny job, and they knew about the differential pin problem and they welded it in place or something.

Funny thing is they knew about that pin, but I had to argue with them over whether the engine was a Chrysler or a Mitsubishi (they claimed Mitsu.... I hate shops)

Well I am not plannign on a rebuild any time soon, but just wanted to know what to look out for.

P.S. About the engine. Can't really bleame them cuz you can't know everyhting about every car... the engine is kind of a specific issue. What I hate the most is when people don't want to listen to you and just keep argueing to just argue.

Did you know that ford and mazda use the same 2.3L engine.
