I talked to a guy at a tranny shop and he said they replace the shift solenoid pack on every rebuild. Is this something you need to do?

do it... its cheep.. and ez... just like we like em'... plus u'll get rid of that nasty reverse buzz sound and gain a couple pnds of pressure

So the new solenoid pack is like $100 off ebay....this is a good price? Will I have to have the TCM reflashed or anything? 1995 ATX.

make sure its the new model of the solenoid pack. Its a heavy duty unit that doesnt make the ratcheting noise. well... its just quieter

DO NOT USE THE OLD GASKETS!
the old set up has 2 gaskets and a steel plate
the new uses just one paper gasket
