I’am wondering if I should use the rubber thing that comes with filter or use some silicone liquid gasket. On other cars I rarely had luck on completely preventing leaks with rubber gasket, so I want to know if silicone thing will cure my problem and will keep oil pan dry(on the outside hehe and nice and full on the inside :-) ) for some time to come.

Please let me know the brand and type of seal to use cuz I know some silicone gaskets can be dissolved by atf.

Also please tell me which one is the return line and which is supply line for the transmission from the atf cooler.

I ended up using the silicone on mine, I think its like Hondabond or something similiar, Mitsu has a recommended brand/stuff, you can find it at Kragens. As far as suction/return, I don't remember, but it's easy to figure out. When you do you'r tranny flush, stick both hoses into an empty bucket and run the car for a couple seconds till fluid comes out of one hose, thats your pressure side. The other hose goes into a bucket filled with 3-5 gallons of fresh fluid, run it till it sucks the bucket dry (I think this is the proper method, cue Infinit3) this should flush the tranny completely. Do this before you change the filter, and to be safe, do a search on 'tranny flush' procedure.

Thanks for reply. What is Kragens? Thanks for the link but I have already read it, the reason i am asking for return supply line is cuz I wanna put extra cooler. Also unfortunately I don't have the ability to play with two hoses and I will end up draining it a couple of times through a drain plug that I will but in and I will get out as much fluid as possible. It is better than going to mechanic and letting them put in dextron instead of ATF +3

It may be Checkers or Schucks where you live, depending. Just grab a couple lengths of hose while you are at the store so you can run them into a bucket, easy enough and the first time I changed my fluid I didn't flush it completely (this is the only way I know of to flush the torque converter) and the fastest I could run was a 17.9 in the quarter. Im sure that it has to do with the old fluid not getting out cause I should run at least a 17.5

P.S. To my knowledge a 17.9 earns me the slowest Eclipse on the board :P gotta have some claim to fame :thumbsup

Checkers or Schucks is that a store or a brand? I have never seen either of those around here :-( Brooklyn NY.

Well I am intending to beat your 17.9. hahaha Actually I think UDP that is waiting for me at home will not allow me to do that lol... Hold on I just saw something you have Stratus Gears you run 17.9 with those?
