3749, SHIFTING AT 6?!

I have a '97 GS with the auto trans and when I punch it it shifts around 6, sometimes be4 and sometimes after. Is this normal? It has an Iceman cold air and HKS Catback.
I'm new to mitsu's and to autos in a modified car.

My RS shifts at 6100-6200 when punched hard. It sounds about right to me.

Thats a good shift point, redline is what, 6868 in these (I think) so you're well below that. The computer does that though, when you mash it it'll hold the gear till near redline, which is fine for performance, don't worry to much unless it sounds like it's coming apart.

k thnx guys, also both radiator fans don't kick on at once correct? I know that's a diff topic but I was just curious since only one of my fans (one closest to the drivers side is one when I have my car running but in Park.
