i recently degreased the engine and now my AT tranny shifts late @ 5000 rpm ,sometimes im stuck in first gear and i cant go more than 25mph , and also the whole car jerks when i shift from park to reverse. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

Were you careful with not letting too much water hit certain sensors or atleast cover them somehow around the tranny? Only thing I could think of is that you possible got water somehow into your fluid. Check your fluid, and then I'd go over your sensors for a start atleast.

i wasnt too careful this time, i was in a hurry to clean the engine so i didnt bother covering the sensors, ecu ,etc. i thought it would be okay since i didnt use a lot of water. i may have fried my TPS sensor im getting a cel 24. im mostly concerned with the hard shifts from P to R could this also be related to the TPS?

yep bad tps sensor, thats exactly what will happen when the tps goes. shift schedule is controlled partly by tps voltage, so no signal from tps and the tranny goes screwy..
replace it or just let it dry out.

Also, at least one of the ATX (speed?) sensors sits on top of the transmission and it can get really wet. Look around near the shifter and you should see the sensor right near it.
