3132, TRANNY "slipping"/blown headgasket

For the past week or so in the morning on my way to work my car will not go when in gear. I will put it in drive and it will roll down my driveway but NOT go. It revs up like it was in neutral (i am AUTO). I try moving it around to 2 and L and it finally catches in one of those gears. But when the car has "warmed up", so to speak, and I drive for a few minutes it seems fine and never does it at a traffic light.

Now my headgasket is about to go (rebuilding in a week or so, I am turbo as well) but that would not affect it because it just seems like the tranny doesnt want to "catch". What do you think could be happening.

ALSO, about 2 weeks ago I had the car serviced and I need to double check when i get home, but I am pretty sure they flushed the fluids, including the tranny fluid. How can I check to see if that's the problem cause I dont want to bring it back if thats not it.

Sounds like it could be fluid levels. I think that may be the culprit, right?

any help appreciated.

probably tranny fluid levels, just check it and see if its low. probably is. and you need to know what was done on the service, if they did the tranny or not
if it started after your service I would take it back in and have them top it off and check it again, also make SURE they put atf+3 in there and not regualar tranny fluid.

/\/\/\/\ what he said... also if u find yourself topping off fluid levels every few days just to get it into gear..... u could need a re-build...OH NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! j/k its not that bad... ill have a write up done by the time u do your engine :)

that happened to me when i had gotten my car ,withing 4 months of purchase =(, lol but it was one of the pins on the transmissions where bent, it was put back to normal shape & the tranny filter & oil was changed at the same time.
