First off, I know this should probably be in the A/T section, but I figured it would get answered a lot quicker here. I recently pulled out the tranny and installed the Transgo shift kit and final drive mod, upon re-installing the tranny, the torque converteris pushed back to far inside of the bell housing to be able to connect the flexplate to it. So my question is: How do I get the torque converter out some to reconnect them? I wasnt sure if it had to be in a certain gear or what. Keep in mind that the tranny was just put back in and doesnt have any fluid in it yet, and the axles are not back in yet either(not sure if those make a difference). Thanks in advance

You're going to have to give yourself enough room to get somethign on the torquer conter to pull it farther out. If you've already bolted the engine/trans together, they are going to have to come apart. Maybe supported by the left side trans mount only you could drop it down far enough to pull on the torque converter. The biggest thing you need is space to work.

And you're right this does belong in the AT section. :nono

yea, youll have to take the oil pan off to be able to access the tq converter bolts and connect it to the plate... you should have filled the converter with fluid before you put it back on, usually takes about 2 qts to fill it up.

and make sure you use some loctite on the tq converter bolts. i used blue, but people have had more success with red trying to keep them from shaking loose.

i think if you get under the car and take the oil pan off, youll have enough access to the converter to pull it and turn it to the correct location for the bolts.

also, the bolts can only go in one particular way. so youll have to line one up and put it in, turn the converter and do the next. if they dont line up youll have to redo it.
