what's it like when you drive the car?

im especially interested in doug's car...

i am thinking of actually sticking it with the a604 tranny than go for a mt swap.

nothing like driving with the windows down and the music low: i love hearing the turbo spool, swwwhhhttt!!!!

Just imagine starting out slower than a stock neon, hitting full boost, reeling in and passing whatever sucker lined up against you, and powering all the way to 120mph, when you finally hit redline... for the first time. At which point the above mentioned sucker is trying to find 4th.

It's cool as long as you're not doing 1/8 mile drag racing.

ahhh i luv that look they get....its liek.. hahaha sucker your auto...the banshee kicks in the WG opens spitting fire you roar...they are in awe as you wave bye bye since you dont have to shift and you pass em, leave em and kick back....lol I hate geeting the middle finger back though :thumbsdown

Turbo with the auto is awesome... especially if you mod it a little. Some trannies act a little funny when you boost it, but when it's working it's great. I honestly have a traction issue with the atx, anytime I'm past 1/2 throttle in first the wheels spin. My tires suck though. Anyways, it's great.

hey guys what did you do to your trannies to be able to hold that much power. I have 2300 for the Hahn Stage 1 kit but dont want to mess up my trannie.. What do you guys recommend to do to the trannie before I get the kit. Thanxs

get an auxilary tranny cooler and maybe a temp gauge just for monitoring and you will be fine. im soon to be boosting 15lbs on a built 8.8.1 comp long rod engine, so ill be getting a cooler as well

When full boost comes on i spin all of 1st and well into 2nd. Once i get traction, it pulls until i let off -- just push the gas and hold on. (18-20psi on the s16g FWIW)


I dont hate it that much...i just hate the a604, and im bitter again cause i only have 1st and 2nd currently (and when you spin till 50 there isnt a lot of fun time when 2nds at redline at ~70). I think its just a bad solenoid pack, will know for sure in a couple days.
