There is like a little black button up there just hanging on a wire I noticed... what the hell is that?! AND also can find the black wire on that harness to splice the switch to... it was a black wire correct... on the plug I pulled there was no black wire... what the fuck does this mean?!
Help please, I have everythng ready I just need to cut and splice and I'm good to go.

That little black button is what tells the brake lights when or when to not come on, i believe. And you gotta take back some of the elec tape to expose the black wire if you cant see it.
That's about all i can think of. There is a black wire down there, just gotta expose it a little maybe for you.

yea, the hardest part of the whole install was exposing enough of that black wire. my electrical tape was wrapped like 500 times tight as hell around all the wires. careful not to pull any of them out of the harness! i pulled one loose and it wanted to make my brake light stay on all the time.
