There are several different options that I know of:

1 - If youve got a remote filter, the cap of it to isntall the filter has a little threaded part for the sending unit.

2 - Some company makes this block that breaks in between the cooling lines and the cooler, you install it the same way as the filter type. Just screw the sending unit in.

3 - I guess you could tap into the tranny oil pan?

Did the guage not come with any directions?

IT's easy...

Weld the fitting onto the trans. oil pan.
Install the sensor
run wires from gauge to sensor

no tools for welding at all ... i was thinking by the coolant lines where they exit the trans to be cooled

yeah you can do that. How about going to a hardware store and getting a t from there with 3 threaded holes a bit bigger then the hoses or the sizes of the sensor. to the bottom of the T put the sensor and to the inlet and outlet thread in some cones/nipples whatever you want to call them. Oh use teflon tape.

I think your best bet is to get the manifold at summit racing. Thats what Corbin uses also. I have mine in the remote filter mount.

That most accurate readings will come from the pan.

I had a friend weld a nut to the oil pan then I screwed in the sensor with teflon. Damn thing leakin, so I covered the sensor with gasket maker and it's still leakin.

fuck it.. ill but it in the cooler line .... also after this goes in .. ill be taking readings pre cooler and post cooler than the lock up mod results after that ... so we can actually see whats goes on with this cooler
