After readin a few posts about launching I realized many recommend NOT flooring it from a stop. People say the timing gets pulled too much... but if you give it 50% and THEN floor it at like 3K RPM it pulls nicer... I tried it and it is tru. But how will a torque conveter help if you need to brake torque in order to use it.... won't timing be pulled just like with the stock TC?

Brake Torquing is bad for a car, people have come to believe that brake torquing is a good thing and its okay to do it, its BAD

and a higher stall torque convertor works by getting you into your optimum torque band sooner, its not for brake torquing higher like many think, sure thats what happens when you upgrade to a higer stall but thats not why you should.

The way I think of it is that a torque convertor kind of "tunes" your tranny to mods youve done, in reality a good TQ company will ask you many questions like what cams your runnin, what your compression ,etc,etc..

and the way our TCU works it just doenst do any good to brake torque like you found out yourself... it only creates excess heat in the tranny which we all know the heat is the #1 killer of the a604 (41te)
