99784, FS: Active Voltage Clamp FCDs - Not Passive Devices!

Active Voltage Clamp FCDs
-Located in Boston, MA-

These are active voltage clamp FCDs, not passive resistor/potentiometer/transistor voltage regulators. While both devices achieve a similar result, the passive devices do so by essentially creating a crude linear voltage regulator. The disadvantage to these types of FCDs is that they usually create at least a 0.6V voltage drop throughout the entire MAP sensor output range. While it doesn't seem significant, the lowered voltage actually inhibits your stock ECU from making accurate A/F ratio measurements and adjustments.

These FCDs for sale use a more complex circuit to provide the following features:

  • Sharp Clamping Behavior Rather than adding resistance to the entire
MAP output range, these FCDs will only clamp down the output voltage down at a
    user specified maximum level.
  • Noise Suppresion The circuits have a built in filter, essentially consisting of a
comparator loop, which removes unwanted noise. They also feature protection from the voltage spikes
that are characteristic of a car's electrical system.
  • Sturdy Construction These FCDs are built on printed circuit boards layed out specifically
for this application. You can opt to buy a case which will allow you to easily mount the unit
in virtually any of the cooler areas of your engine bay. The units with cases are also water/chemical
    resistant.

FCD PCBs just after etching.

The last thing you want is to worry about fuel cut while you're cruising down the street. With these FCDs,
I promise you that won't happen. Each FCD comes with comprehensive instructions, plus I offer full
support for my product online.

Each FCD is shipped as promptly as possible. I currently have fourteen (14) FCDs available,
with eight (8) cases. I welcome inquiries about bulk sales.

Each FCD is pre-tuned on the bench, although I recommend that you fine-tune
the unit once it's installed.

I fully stand by my product. Although it hasn't happen yet, should one of my FCDs cease to function,
or arrive to you DOA, I'll work with you to either refund your money or repair/replace the unit.

FCDs with and without cases.

Prices

  • FCD Each bare, yet completely functional FCD unit is $39.99.
  • Cases If you would like to purchase a case, please include an additional $4.99.
  • Shipping Please include $3.99 for shipping from MA, 02467.

PayPal is my payment method of choice. Please contact me at symansky@bc.edu, or through PM, to set up a
PayPal transaction if you're interested in purchasing an FCD from me.

These FCDs are comparable to the units HKS sells for more than $120. I urge you not to skimp on this
crucial component of your turbosystem if you seek reliability.

HEY PAUL, this is jacob.

can i buy just a case from you. i still got the fcd you made me its awesome!!!!! just need a case now.

Hey Jacob. Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, these FCDs are a different version than my previous ones. The circuit is virtually the same, however, the PCB layout is more condensed to allow it to fit inside one of these cases. Thus, my v1.0 FCDs will not fit inside these cases.

You can always take a few measurements of your FCD and buy a little project box at RadioShack.

For everyone who purchased an FCD between Friday evening and yesterday, all orders were shipped out today.

I currently have 12 FCDs in stock with more being made.

Also, all FCDs, by default, are now being sold with cases for $49.48, shipping included. If you want just the bare FCD or to inquire about a bulk order, contact me please.

101558, O2 Sensor Simulators and FCDs
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Dec-11-06 08:08 PM
I made a batch of five (5) oxygen sensor simulators for those of you who wish to remove you catalytic converters, but don't want to bother with that pesky CEL. They're covered in a polyurethane protectant to render them completely weather/chemical resistant. They're also extremely compact measuring at just 2.75"x.75"x1". They come complete with instructions and labels.

$34.99 + shipping.

I also have about nine FCDs in stock. Active voltage clamp FCDs have been proven time and time again to work better than the competitors. They don't cause unwanted voltage drops, and superior construction methods ensure their longevity. Don't skimp on this crucial component of your turbo kit!

The price is still $44.99 + shipping. These too come complete with instructions, labels and a weather resistant case.

Please contact me to set up a transaction or if you have any questions at all. Once again, thanks for your continued support!

Paul, do the O2 simulators cycle back and forth to simulate lean rich to avoid the cycle rate code?

Terry,
The circuit creates a non-adjustable square wave that should eliminate any CEL associated with a faulty rear O2 sensor, or an eliminated catalytic converter.

Very very nice. This has been tested thoroughly i expect?
101563, RE: O2 Sensor Simulators and FCDs
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Dec-11-06 09:01 PM
Of course... I bench test, at the very least, each and every product I make before selling them. The O2 sensor simulator, admittedly, isn't anything particularly new or innovative, just a redesign of a common mod put in a more compact package.

101977, Holiday Special: FCDs and O2 Sims
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Dec-23-06 02:20 PM
Hey guys, for any of you trying to finish your turbosystems for the holiday season, I'm holding a holiday special of sorts... $36.99 shipped for FCDs (with case) and $24.99 shipped for O2 sensor simulators. Get 'em now... the price will go back to normal after the holidays!

102106, RE: Holiday Special: FCDs and O2 Sims
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Dec-28-06 12:32 PM
All FCDs ordered recently shipped out on Wednesday morning. Just a word of warning, though, the Post Office moves rather slow this time of year... they'll be there very soon, though. You all have your tracking numbers to see exactly where they are. Once again, thanks for the business! I really appreciate it!

just an FYI for potential buyers. i own an 02 bypass and an electronic FCD made by paul here, and both are very nicely made and compact. the 02 bypass is especially nice, and to install its simply 4 wires and bam your done. thanks again paul and good luck with your products i appreciate them very much.

Thanks for the kind words, Jake.

Like Jake said, I strive to make each of my products efficient, robust, and yet compact too. Everything I sell is mounted securely on custom circuit boards. Items that don't come in cases come with a polyurethane coating to help prevent corrosion and other damage. All FCDs, on the other hand, now come with protective cases.

Plus, each product, no matter how small or seemingly easy to install, comes fully labeled or color-coded, and with comprehensive instructions.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me! I'm always happy to answer questions, even if you don't decide to buy from me in the long run.

Hurry up and order your FCDs or O2 Sims from me now! The holiday special is almost over!

102219, Holiday Sale Ending Soon
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Jan-01-07 04:43 PM
Hey guys, the holiday sale will unfortunately be ending very soon. I'll accept orders through tomorrow at sale price. After that, the prices will go back to normal. I just wanted to thank everyone who helped make this sale an overwhelming success; because it was so successful, I'll be holding more sales like this throughout the year. Once again, thanks everyone!

102260, FCDs - Shipping Updates
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Jan-03-07 06:17 AM
To anyone who recently ordered an FCD, they shipped out today. There was no mail pick up because of New Years and then President Ford's death, so today was the soonest they could be shipped.

To anyone who ordered, or inquired more recently than that, my suppliers have been slow to deliver because of the holidays, but a large shipment os components is coming in in the next day or so.

Thanks again for all your support!

103761, Sale! FCDs and O2 Sensors!
Posted by VelocitaPaola, Feb-17-07 06:38 PM
Hey guys, I'm trying to push these last FCDs from our stock. We're preparing to make more FCDs and O2 sensor simulators using newer, automatic techniques. Thus, we need to get rid of these ones to begin re-stocking. The new ones use the same circuitry; they'll just be able to made in higher volumes, more quickly.

The sale covers both FCDs and O2 sensors simulators. Take 15% off the regular price, and either the FCD or O2 sensor sim are yours. Take 20% off if you buy both an FCD and O2 sensor simulator.

Thanks for all your continued support! I'm excited about some new things I have on the table to hopefully bring to the 2GNT community soon!
