just bought my 99 eclipse.. n it's way too stock for me. i wanna swap for turbo motor. however, don't have the money straight up for it.. so i wanna see wat i can get outta my 99 NA motor.. only 87k nuuthin wrong with it. just wanna turbo motor.

Be more specific. A turbo'ed 420A motor? Or a Stock turbo motor from another eclipse / talon? If it's the latter option then you got alot of reading to do.

Your only two options for turbo is to boost your current one, or sell your car and buy a GST/GSX. The 4g63 wont work in a 420a car.

well technically the 4g63 will fit...but, u will have to fab new motor mounts, new ecu, new wiring harnesses and a both of crap that is not worth the extra what..70hp which u could get running 7psi on stock internals if u boosted ur 420a and u would be paying 2-3 grand compared to around 5-6. Have a couple people around here that did it only to find out that was the dumbest thing in the world to do. if u want a good running motor, just go to howellautomotive and get the top and bottom end kit then either get a hahn or star turbo setup and ur good to go, be paying the same as u would trying to swap everything out but u will be blowing the gs-ts away with with gs

auto or manual....if manual i would buy it....

Hope you've got a front clip from a 4g dsm or you're gonna have some problems.. It'll be cheaper to buy a whole new car if you're looking for a 4g motor.
