im looking for a cheap 420a motor i bought a eclipse with a
bad engine and i cant drive it (which sucks)  ? whats the
factory hp? 

I have one that needs an oil pump.  Motor itself is good, the
oil pump was just starting to give low pressure at idle only. 
Its a longblock with new timing belt recently done-less than
3k miles ago.  New water pump was installed.  Motor comes with
no Valve cover or oil pan.

I am located in IL, i wont ship because there arent any
reasonable shippers nearby.  Come pick it up and i'll give it
to you for 300.00 if you want it within a week or so.

If he passes on it and you still have it in like 2 months, I'll definitly take it. My motor just blew, lookin into rebuild, but money's tight right now with buyin a house. LMK if he passes on it.

how many miles are on the motor and has it ever been apart and
where abouts do you live i can make a road trip this comin up
weekend(sat) if its not to far you ca e-mail me later on

The motor had 101k on it when removed.  The headgasket was
updated due to notorious composite factory gasket oil leak. 
That was done around 95k, smae with timing components.  Sorry
i dont have the exact numbers, i never intended to sell the
motor.

Ok thats alright if the motor has been apart for a new head
gasket.  I would like to buy your engine from you but i don t
want to get screwed over can you e-mail me at(

if you have any or can get some than we can move onto the next
step and get your adress,directions,and ph# . I would like to
pick up the engine on sat. around noon if thats alrigh that
should be adout when i roll into town if there isnt any
problems.

You can trust Terry with the motor. I bought a used motor from him and picked it up last spring. I have yet to have a single problem with it, it has been running strong the whole time. Terry is a good guy who wouldn't screw anyone :thumbsup

The previous owner cut the timing cover, i replaced the outer portion, i dont have an inner. IF you buy an oil pump i will install it when you pick it up and re-time the motor for you.

I do have various brackets if you would like them to make the changeover easier. Alternator, A/C, and P/S.
