I have a 0 mile 2.0L 420a shortblock that I never got around to using, because I found a 2.6L stroker block instead. So, it is for sale. Here are the specs:
New Crower Rods
New Je 8.8 pistons, .020 over
New Je Rings
New melling oil pump
New Std Clevite bearings
Low mileage 99 Eclipse block bored and honed, crank polished, assembled
New oil return for Hahn turbokit
New Oil Pan
New gaskets throughout

It is $1500 plus shipping. I accept Paypal from Confirmed addresses, or a $50 discount for a cashiers check, money order, or pickup with cash.

You can come pick it up in Pittsburgh, PA, or I'll meet you within 30 miles of here (mapquest mileage from Pittsburgh, PA). Or I can ship it, either you can pay for the shipping and have a carrier sent to a local business that has a loading dock/forklift, and it will be on a pallet, or go to www.freight101.com, and get a quote from zip 15202, it probably weighs 100lbs with a pallet, and class 70, and get shipping from them. They seem to be the cheapest. Either way, you pay for shipping.

Interested ... who built the thing ? Was the assemble balanced ?

It was built by MCS Automotive Machine Shop in Marlboro, MA. It was balanced by the shop when it was assembled, all clearances were checked, etc.

will you ship to San Jose, CA for 1500?

that freight101 site sez 250 for shipping.

If you have a business it can be shipped to in San Jose, CA that has a loading dock and/or fork lift, shipping is $167 - which isn't bad condsidering places like howell charge $300 to a business. I can pay $67 of it, but thats the best I can do. Total would be $1600 shipped. BTW, shipping to CA is usually as expensive as it gets for me, so I imagine that almost anywhere in the US I can do this deal - send me your zips if you want to make sure. Now, if you want it shipped to a residence, well, that is much more...at least $300.

Quit nickle and Diming the guy. Crower rods and you want cheaper then 1500???/ Gimmie a break. I wish i were in the market for this!

From exile, this would cost $2170 plus shipping and a core.

From howell, this would cost $1900 plus $300 biz shipping, plus a core. That would be eagle rods, $2200, plus a core.

Also, to the best of my knowlege, neither of those include the brand new oil pan and pre-plumbed HRC oil return. And I don't know how long either place takes to build a block either. This one is ready to go.

The absolute best I can do is: $1600 shipped to a business with a loading dock and/or forklift. Or come pick it up for $1500 Paypal, $1450 cash/money order/cashiers check.

If I wasn't deployed to Iraq right now I'd stop on my way home to Rochester NY for Christmas and pick it up. Argh I am always missing out on the good deals. oh well free BUMP
