Okay, so i'm joining the army which means i'm not going to be home for the next 2 years... which means i'm not going to be anywhere near my car for the next 2 years. I was thinking about parking it and essentially buying parts for it when i get my bonuses and what not, but i think i'm just gonna sell it and buy a different car and make it a project car when i get out. So i'm just wondering who would be interested in a 97 GS: 3 or 4 month old clutch, AEM V2 CAI, Ebay muffler, strut tower bar in the front... body's in good shape, dent in the front drivers side fender, both door caps are off... Needs small ammounts of TLC ... barly any rust... I'm thinkin maybe 5000... I'm not officially selling it yet, i'm going to wait untill i get officially accepted... but i'm not sure why they'd reject me... . So yeah, anyone think they'd be interested?

Hey man,
Just figured I'd give you a few suggestions since I'm in the Army my self.
1) don't sell your car you'll regret it later
2) The Bonuses and stuff they promise aren't quite how they seem (PM me and I'll explain)
3) GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!! If your getting a bonus make sure it's in your contract. If you want to go somewhere in particular (say your from NY and want to go to Ft Drum) Make sure it's Pin pointed in your contract.
4) don't sign anything until your completely happy with the offer.
5) I suggest having a lawyer look over your contract before you sign it. You have that right use it. If you don't understand something, he's impartial. He will give you an honest opinion.
6) Be prepared to travel. Do you like the Beach? well you had better bring your own water.
7) If you get stationed stateside, Germany, or Japan you can have your car with you. Korea is the exception. you have to be E-6 or higher to have a POV (Privately Owned Vehicle)there.
8) Get in shape (if your not already) PRIOR to Basic Training. I'm not saying you should be a world class athlete but you need to be able to run a couple miles and do some pushups and some situps. It helps to get there and not be dragging ass.
