This is a new Clutch Masters Stage 4 pressure plate and clutch with a used flywheel. I origionally had it together wiht rivits welded to the pressure plate. However I wanted to make it rebuildable so I ground the rivits off and taped out the holes with a 10mm 1.25pitch tap. It would need 6 allen head bolts to put together. I ended up going more extreme with my motor than first planned so I ordered a different clutch from SBC. I am looking to get 400 shipped. I will tak eless if you just wan tthe pressure plate and disk to use on an aluminum flywheel.

How much torque can that hold? Should the flywheel be resurfaced? That's still a pretty streetable clutch isn't it?

I have never run with a CM 4 clutch before so i cannot tell you how street able it is. I beleve it is capeable of holding 170% more than stock. The flywheel had about 40k on it from the stock clutch that was on it. if it were to be resurfaced that is your choice.

A CM Stage 4 is not a nice around town clutch. You can't slip it, which means you will need to launch a little at every street light. Very very nice clutch though.

Always worked fine for me when i was daily driving my Eclipse.

I'm so very confused and torn on this whole clutch business. 400 shipped for that is definetly worth it though....right?

how long can expect it last daily driven during the summer? I know I know it depends on how I treat it...I hardley ever dump the clutch and launch.

The CM stage 4 is very streetable, it just takes some getting used to. Also these clutches seem to have a very durable lifespan. I can't speak for dino, But I believe his has some mileage on it. I know that mine has over 30,000 miles on it and still grips strong as a mofo. So it's up to you but this is a great quality clutch..

Well, yes they can be drivin on the street. I didn't say they couldn't.

I basically meant that it does take some getting used to.

A CM stage 4 for $400 is worth it.

A brand new CM stage 4 non-modular is $449 and it comes with the pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and clutch alignment tool. But I guess the flywheel makes it worth it :shrug

449 plus shipping but I will go 375 shipped to make it worth it. I just spent 900 on my new clutch so I need to get some money back. ;)

so is there anything else I would need besides the bolts (no problem) the throwout bearing, piolt bearing and alingment tool? I just want to get all my facts straight before I commit :thumbsup

That should do it I beleveYou really dont even need an alignment tool Just bolts and a TOB.

The only other thing you would need is longer bolts for the crank to flywheel if you are currently a modular setup. The crank bolts are only long enough for the flexplate, not a flywheel. So if your a mod clutch you will need like 6 (IIRC) other bolts. This is a great deal though bump

Just as info Kent, you MUST center the disk when bolting that together. I've done it before using a piece of coathanger and a socket :) I can show ya, just lemme know..
