i'm going to be making a custom water pipe for my 2.4 swap and i'm checking if anybody else wants one. they'll be lathed aluminum and will look much better than the stock pipes. i can have them powdercoated also. in addition, i have high pressure hosing (blue only) that replaces the factory metal lines on the exhaust side of the engine. i've had these on my car for over a year now and not a single leak. the hose is rated to 310 degrees. i always hated the one inch piece of hose that's attached to the coolant neck and this was my method of removing that. pm with email address for pics of hose kit. pics "not" yet available for water pipe, still in the design phase....chris

Why not just thread the ends, so you can use stainless braided hose?
Would that be possible?

Why not just use the 2.0L water pipe with some minor modification?

You can use the water pipe from the 2.0 if thats what you're talking about. All you have to do is modify the bracket where it attaches to the block. Anyway, I'd still be interested in seeing a pic.

threaded ends for stainless lines: i thought about that but stainless lines are more expensive when including the fittings and would take more time to manufacture. plus i already have the high temp hosing on hand. if you really wanted stainless, i'm sure i could make it happen for you but you'd have to send me a coolant neck to be fitted for threads as well. water pipe: yes it's the pipe coming from the water pump. i want to have something with a clean "aftermarket appearance", i guess. i have the means to produce it myself, so why not, right? pics for this are not available yet. i just got the block on thursday so i'm still working on the final design and fitment. if you want pics of the coolant lines, pm with your email address and i'll forward them to you, i don't know how to put pics on this site yet...chris

Heres a picture of the blue coolant lines. The new 2.4 Hybrid water pipe isn't completed yet, but pictures will follow once completed
