I'm looking for a SHORT RAM INTAKE for my 98 Talon. Email with what you have and the price shipped to Greenville, NC 27858. Pics would be good if you have them. I can pay by paypal for fast service.

Yeah, I've thought about buying one of those cheap intakes and just getting a K&N to fit on it but I've read complaints on this board about quality issues. Any thoughts?

There are no quality issues.
I believe they all rub against the battery, so you might want to put something on the itake to protect it against the battery. Other than that, i dont think performance wise you are going to feel any difference between a $300 AEM CAI and a $20 ebay cold air intake....
You probably will feel a difference between cold air and ram air, and if you do go ebay you might want to look into the 3" rather than the 2" if they even make em. i have the 2" egay intake and the filter was actually pretty good quality as well.
Dont waste your money in my opinion, its not gonna give you enough horsepower either way. i say go with egay!
