I have a set of used arp headstuds forsale. I had them on my 2.0 they are in good shape and are ready to put to work. I can no longer use them because the 2.4L uses a different length corner stud.

just so you know arp head studs are meant to be re-used. that is one reason they are better than the stock head bolts.

It has nothing to do with how many times they supposedly can be installed. I suppose they could be re-used if they were torqued PERFECTLY each and every time. Even new Torque wrenches can have a variance of up to 10 lbs/si. ARP head studs are NOT to be reused if they have stretched at all past their designed amount. From ARP's Website:

if a fastener is over torqued and becomes stretched too much—you have exceeded the yield strength and it’s ruined. If the fastener is longer than manufactured—even if it is only .001", it is in a partially failed condition.

.001" is not a high margin of error. The materials ability to stretch and act as a spring under load is what provides the clamping force. If this "stretch" amount is exceeded then that stud can not function in the specs it was designed for.

I would not personally buy used studs, bolts, or fasteners. just like i wouldnt re-use a gasket, but the best of luck to your sales.

The torque they're rated for is 75% of their yeild strength. If they're torqued to ARP's specs +/- 10lbs, they're not going to stretch and can be re-used.

70% of the people here will never come close to stressing an ARP headstud on their motors anyway.

Bitching match? I wasnt trying to have a bitch match. I was just saying I wouldnt buy used up old Head studs without knowing where they came from or how much they have already stretched, if any. We should take this discussion out of your for sale thread, in a tech forum perhaps. I go by what I read in their specs. If they throw out numbers and facts then I take that as info needed to make an informed purchase.
