I broke my door handle x-mas night, and now I need a new one. Anyone have one? Preferably Sarrano red?

There's another option.

I've been selling these repair kits since last summer.

http://www.azflight.com/rcaz/sub%20indexes/doorhandlefix/index.htm

I can have one in the mail to you tomorrow morning. They deliver as fast as a First Class letter coming from Phoenix.

If you're handy with hacksaw and JB Weld you could repair your old one and save trying to find a red one to match.

Here's an excellent write-up by another DSM'r on how to remove and install the handle.

I looked at your repair kit, that was the first thing I thought of when It broke, I was just like o'well guess I need to do that metal reinforcement kit that azdave has. I looked at the door handle and realized that It may not work though, I will post a picture of the remains of the door handle let me know if it will still work.

Edit- Here are the pics

It's hard to tell how much damage is done to both hinges with the straight-on angle of the photos. Usually, repairing the side that is broken off close to the handle is not difficult since the steel repair piece fits pretty deep into the handle, almost to the face. The hinge that has the spring return is a little trickier only because you have the spring and actuator rod to think about which means you have to be more careful to not go too wild with the JB Weld.

How about I send you a kit for free to try it out?

If it works, Merry Christmas.

If you can't use it on the old handle, install it in the new one before it breaks too.

PM me a mailing address.

There are a ton of those cheap aftermarket handles on ebay now but you'll still have to paint them.

Looks like my website is down again this morning! I'm seeing red X's!
