Hi all,

95 eclipse gs white, built motor, hrc turbo kit with fmic, oil cooler, 6 pot wilwood front and 4 pot wilwood rear brakes.
The stereo system is worth 5k by itself and the brakes another 3k and I dunno how much money i sank into the motor!

I got a smog ref ticket here in CA. and I really do not want to go back to stock so I will be willing to sell my car in its entirety with all the extra stock parts that I have also. There is too much on the car to list so please send me an email at happylk105@aol.com and I can send you a complete spec list. Please take note, this car will not pass Ca. Smog so if you are in CA this will be for off-road use only,and will be sold as such. I am not sure about the standards in other states, but I think you can get away with it if you are not in Ca.

I got a ticket that I have to go see the state smog ref and I have to call this 1800 number to schedule an appointment.

I have been hearing that if you get a ticket that requires you to see a Ca state smog ref, that you could just pay the fine that is called out and then it is taken care of. Has anyone else heard of this? like i don't really car if i have to pay the fine, just as long as my stupid citation gets cleared.

Turby, James got sent to the Smog REFEREE. That means an extremely qualified state-paid technician that knows every bolt in the car, cannot be paid off, and will not look the other way. This is not the smog check that everybody has to go through every 2 years. This is a government inspection ordered by a police officer due to missing smog equipment.

Everyone else: This is the nicest, fastest, most reliable turbo 420a I've ever seen. Its simply an incredible car, and everything's been done right.

for this price, I am not only including my car, but i am including everything else that i have that is directly related to this car, EG.laptop(old)for programming ignition and e-manage, all interface cables, an extra 5 speed tranny, an extra maybe good alternator, all the stock parts i still have ( ex mani, stock intake, stock wheels...)

Cop probably figured anyone with 6 piston (I think) brakes probably has a thing or two under the hood.

You go get it checked out and they say this car is no where near stock and it doesnt pass the smog... then what?

I was going 66 in 45 zone on orangethorpe near my work...the fucking street is six lanes total plus an island and 2 turning lanes. i think the average speed on that street is 60. well the speeding ticket doesent really matter to me, its just the damn smog ref hassle.
well, from my research it goes like this. Either i put my engine back to stock now or do it later. if i take it to the ref now he will tell me what i have to fix. then i have to fix it and go back to him to have them inspect it. If i can't sell my car, I am just going to put the engine back to stock. then see the ref, well, after you pass the visual inspection then they hook you up to the smog machine and run a smog test on the car. then after all that, if i pass everything. then i can get it cleared. but if i don't pass, they tell me why i didn't pass and i have to fix the noted problems... otherwise known as a pain in the ass. so either way, its a pain in the ass.

wow last time i went to one was for a home made Fuel injec. system that my friend had on his car.

They didnt beleive it ran cleaner than his stick ecu could. They set him up on the dyno, he passed WAY cleaner then the stockers should so they let him keep all his shit.
