I've been waiting forever for you to start selling these but is that silicone or urethane wrapped around a bolt :wary. If so it doesnt seem like they would torque down correctly.

Those are nylon spacers. They are necessary to work with the rubber grommets. I had a guy from the neons.org board do some field testing for me before I put them up for sale to make sure there wouldnt be any problems. Thats why it took so long. would you be able to do a set with regular bolt heads on it? i hate allen keys

Unfortunately I cant do a kit with hex head bolts because I dont keep any around. I started with the allen head bolts because 4G63 valve covers are very easy to crack. By using the short end of an allen key to torque the bolts down, its a nice way to prevent over-torquing. I never liked them before either, but they grew on me, and I think they look better too so I stuck with them.

To get back to a previous post, the nylon spacers are quite rigid, its not a soft material. There are no issues with torquing them down.

dumb question(s)-
how hard is it to change from the studs to the bolts? the studs on my valve cover look tiny in comparison to the ones you're selling. And couldn't you torque down hex headed bolts better than allan keyed ones with a torque wrench? That aside, those things look awesome, man...

Easy. "...its a nice way to prevent over-torquing." see above posts.
