He lost control going about 50ish, went off the road and head on into a tree. The tree was completely destroyed....and front of the car isnt pretty. The intercooler was tossed into the road and smashed, the radiator is at almost a 90 degree angle. The turbo and engine seem to be fine though. Imagine hitting a light post head on right near driver side headlight...that sort of gives a mental image of how large the tree trunk was and how the car would look. It's tragic. The car is totaled, and we are in the midst of dealing with insurance and whatnot as far as removing parts etc. They will not allow to buy the car back, due to an Illinois law. The car must be 9 years or older to buy it back, and it isn't. So, they have mentioned that he can remove parts as long as stock parts replace what he takes off. For example...remove turbo manifold, replace with stock exhaust manifold....etc There are still some details that need to be ironed out...it happened last week.

HOLY SHIT... wtf!!!! OK im trying to keep an open mind about this. Maybe it was really bad weather or something, but how the fuck do u just happen to "lose" control at 50mph. Dammit jason shoulda never sold that car!!!!!

wow, all i can say is holy s^&%. Good info Ryan,i live in IL and didnt know about the law of 9yrs. in that case i can talk to the junk yard guys and see if i can get a cheap crap motor. where does andrew live? I am in Plainfield area by Joliet.

I got good news from my insurance...they are letting me take everything out, all my parts and everything and i dont have to put any back in...god that is a huge relief off my chest, i thought i was out a shit load of money there..so i dont need the engine anymore or anything..thanks for the help though guys.
Althought i do need some shitty wheels and tires, doesnt matter if there is NO tread hardly or anything just have to stick em on there so i can take the shoguns off and it goes to the auction or whatever insurance will do with the frame and stuff...also some cloth seats...they can be messed up or discolored or whatever...someone let me know please!!!!

silence is over... this is the first i heard of it... it brings a tear to my eye and brings forth some anger because the most beautiful car is gone (I don't know the circumstances, but i'm letting my imagination run wild here)
