I need a head, or some head :shrug I don't need anything with it (valves, springs, etc), but would like the cam bearing caps that go with it...

i have one, but without cam bearing caps...just get some new ones and get it align honed at a machine shop for 20$

50 + shipping and its all yours

ill do 70 shipped. has everything. ill take out the cams if you dont need them.

Hey great, i like out-of-spec cam journals.

You can't buy "just the caps" Turby. They come with the head.

Unless they add metal to it before they align bore them, there is no way they can remove metal from the cam journal and keep them in-spec. There are no bearings in those journals to oversize. It is infinitely easier to just buy a head with the right caps and not have to worry about it.

yea you're right

most the time the journal in the head is fine, and the cam caps are what need to be honed. it can be honed and still stay in spec, minimal material is removed. thats why there is margin for out of spec journals.
