is it capable of having gas hooked up to it? Is gas really that much better?

The way he keeps saying flux core makes me think it has no gas lines. I don't know anything about those welders. You can weld without gas with flux cored wire, but if your really trying to get a great weld, I wouldn't use anything but gas.

Not trying to mess up your sale, but he asked. Like I said also, it might be for gas as well.

It doesn't use gas hook ups, pure flux only so it basically welds the same just a little messier due to the flux in the spool. I dunno if it's comporable in strength to a gas mig or not.

My old roommate convereted his flux core welder into a gas. it cost about 50 bucks. His might have had the option to be upgradable though when he bought it

You could get a new Gun for it made to work with gas, they are almost universal. Argon for life, yo! :7

You would need a new hose also. It can be done.
